Allman House was named after Sister Elizabeth Allman. Sister Elizabeth became the principal of Our Lady of Sion College Sale in 1971 and remained as principal until 1975, during which time Our Lady of Sion College and Saint Patrick’s College amalgamated to become Sale Catholic College.

The Allman family herald from the farming communities of Seaton and Heyfield Districts and over the years, many members of the Allman family have attended the College.

Marist Transition School aims to provide supported or alternative education for disadvantaged students between the ages of 11 and 14 who are experiencing difficulties maintaining their place in mainstream education.  Allman House offer support through Big Brother/Sister letter writing to the students, fundraising and annually a joint activity between the two schools.
