LITURGICAL CHOIR
YEAR 9/10
‘Liturgical Choir’ is a Religious Education subject offered at Year 9 and 10. It is a subject that teaches students to sing a repertoire of songs, gain a general understanding of musical terms and notation, learn techniques used within a choir and experience public performance.
As members of the choir, students also study the religious sense of the world through song and learn about music in the liturgy and the history of music in the Church.
Through their singing, students gain a heightened awareness of the Creator and learn about the Catholic sense of justice, prayer, praise and the community.
