Friends of Sion Gathering

A Reunion for Past Students and Friends of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion
will be held at the Sion Campus, Catholic College, York St. Sale,
(former Convent of Our Lady of Sion)

Sunday, 9th November, 2008, 11 a.m. – 3p.m.

The Day’s Program will include Presentations by the Sisters
on the History of the Congregation, its Spirituality and
the Present Ministries of the Sisters.
There will be time over Lunch to meet and chat with one another.

Since the Sisters no longer have a presence in the Sale Diocese,
one of the aims of this gathering, the first of its kind,
is to ensure that the Spirit of Sion continues to live on in the Sale Diocese
through each one of you who is part of the Sion Family.

Please record this date and pass on the news to any others interested.
Bring a plate to share on the Lunch Table.

The College values close contact with its past students, and since Catholic College Sale has grown from the amalgamation of Sion College and St Patrick’s College, we consider any past students of these two colleges as past students of Catholic College.

From time to time, some groups have arranged a get together meal, that covers past students of a given era, and we encourage this. These gatherings have included past students from Sion and St Patrick’s, as well as from Catholic College Sale.

For several years now, a group of old boys of St Patrick’s has gathered for a re-union in Parliament House gardens on the Friday closest to St Patrick’s Day. These have been very well attended. Recently a committee was established for an association of past students known as St Patrick’s College Sale Old Collegians Association Incorporated. The current President is Kevin Howard OAM, and the secretary is Brian Worcester. Any past student is encouraged to contact either of these two gentlemen, to be on the mailing list for any of the Association’s functions.

Kevin can be contacted at 7 Smith Street, Wangaratta, Vic. 3677 or by phone on 03 5722 2971

and Brian at 8 Cohuna Street, Burwood East, Vic. 3151 or phone 03 9802 2742
