REMAR

REMAR is an international Marist religious education program, which had its beginnings in South America and has now spread to many parts of the world. The REMAR movement encourages young adults to make a commitment to themselves and other members of their group. It fosters and encourages leadership and community service and challenges students to explore social justice issues. The REMAR program starts at Year 10, then follows on through Years 11 and 12. There is also the opportunity to continue post school.
Towards the end of Year 9, a REMAR orientation day is held, where all Year 9 students are given a ‘taste’ of REMAR and are then invited to go on camp, where they make a choice to commit. Catholic College Sale is an original member of the REMAR movement and we are proud of its heritage within the College.
Through REMAR we respond to the needs of young people in helping them to form their identity.
