Study Groups

Sustained Silent Study

The Sustained Silent Study Program (SSS) was introduced in 2003.  Its original purpose was to extend the existing support offered to Year 12 students in their academic pursuits by providing them with a supervised working environment for three hours after school. Supervision was provided by staff on a voluntary basis.

Sustained Silent Study provides students with a supervised evening study period. SSS provides a structured, stable and industrious study environment whereby a student’s attention is solely focussed on the work at hand without distraction or interruption. It aims to develop student concentration and productivity during study.

 After Hour Study

All students are welcome to study on campus after hours provided that they make productive use of their time. Unsupervised study after hours will conclude at 6.00pm.
Discussion and group meetings should be arranged in consultation with a member of the teaching staff and are not be conducted in rooms designated for after hours study.
