Year 10 students are encouraged to undertake a Unit 1 & 2 VCE unit if they demonstrate a good study ethic. They will generally continue this study in Year 11 as a Unit 3 & 4 sequence. Year 12 students are expected to complete five Unit 3 & 4 sequences.
In 2006 Catholic College offered 36 VCE Unit 3 and 4 studies and 18 VET studies. We had 179 students enrolled in one or more Unit 3 and 4 studies, 112 students enrolled in VET, and 21 students enrolled in VCAL. Of those students completing Year 12, 99% successfully completed their VCE. The median study score for all Unit 3 and 4 studies was 31, with 7 students achieving a study score of 40 or above.
